My Father’s house has room to spare. If that weren’t the case, would I have told you that I’m going to prepare a place for you? – John 14:2, CEB
The work that I do beyond the local church calls for occasional multi-day meetings out of town. The best part of the trips? Coming home, of course. When I return the kids usually have made some kind of welcome home sign and when they were younger even a song and dance. I am always welcomed home.
You are always welcomed home, too.
If you’ve been away from Old Mission for one or one thousand Sundays or anywhere in-between you are always welcome to come home. This week is the perfect week to do it. I’m so excited for my first experience with Old Mission Back to School Sunday. Worship at 9:00 will be uplifting, full of fantastic music and a special moment for your kids to be blessed as they go back to school. You’ll enjoy great fellowship after worship, too, with pancakes and a petting zoo (pancakes for you, not the animals!). And if you’re worried about the pastor noticing that you’ve been gone, don’t be. After only 6 weeks everyone is new to me!
