CHILDREN'S CHURCH The children meet in the chapel for a time of worship and then go to room 161 for crafts related to the story. Volunteers rotate; you are not being asked to do this every Sunday. MY VOLUNTEER PAL AT ROESLAND SCHOOL
We are still looking for more wonderful people to serve at Roesland Elementary 1 hour a week, or more if you wish, in the My Volunteer Pal Program. This is the mentoring / tutoring program. You must take their SMSD training class. All sessions are held at the McEachen Administrative Center. RSVP is appreciated to ensure that enough seating and training materials are available. Ushers: Ushers volunteer to serve for three or four months per year. Teams are needed for the 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 am services. The ushers distribute worship bulletins to those entering the sanctuary, pass and collect offering plates, and help pick up the sanctuary. Ushers are also asked to be available to help with any emergencies that may arise during worship.

Lay Liturgists: Adults, youth and children who read aloud well are invited to serve as lay liturgists. in traditional worship. The lay liturgist reads the Opening Prayer, the Offertory Prayer, and the Canticle. Liturgists are needed for the 8:30 and 11:00 services. Acolytes: Children in the 3rd-6th grades are invited to serve as acolytes. Acolytes begin the worship service by lighting the candles on the altar. At the end of the service, the acolytes remind us that God goes out into the world with us, as they carry out the flame. An acolyte training class is held each year. Contact Rev.
