Being involved with music has been part of Terry Busch’s life since childhood. Her dad was the choir director and her mom was the organist at the church they attended in Manhattan, Kan., during her younger years. As a teenager, Old Mission’s Director of Bell Ministry fondly recalls many hours spent with friends in UMYF and playing hand bells. Now Terry leads the charge at Old Mission as the director of Spirit Bells.
The 30-year member of Old Mission has learned to love Old Mission’s adult Sunday School offerings, which have helped her grow in her walk with Christ. “I was walking down the hall (one day) and Clay and Barb Shropshire invited me into their Sunday School class; I was their childbirth instructor at the hospital,” Terry says. “I had never been to an adult Sunday School class, but I am so thankful for the opportunity now!”

Tell us about your family...
Jerry (my rock) is my sweet and devoted husband. Son Brian lives and works in New Windsor, New York. Daughter Robyn moved to Buffalo, New York recently. Both are the joy of my life. Now my dogs Jocie and Toto have to fill in. My mother lives in Manhattan and we love to shop together when we visit one another. I have a brother in Garden City, and another in Minnesota. I don’t get to see either one of them nearly enough. Jerry has a bigger family and we enjoy spending time with them.
